Meet Indiana, The Real Hoosier State

Indiana is more than just a state that you pass thru going from Ohio to Illinois or from Chicago to Kentucky. If you drive across Indiana on Interstate 70 or 80/90 you may get the impression that this is just flat, boring territory that grows a ton of corn. If you get off the interstate, you will find that Indiana is a state with a lot of history and interesting places to visit and sights to see. Michigan City has one of the most beautiful views of Lake Michigan and beautiful beaches to go along with the view. Of Course the Shopping at the discount mall, The Lighthouse Place is an adventure in itself, but hidden across the street is a small family restaurant with a blue roof that has one of the best grouper sandwiches that I have had in years. I wish I could remember the name of the place, but it is right across the street from the entrance to the mall. While you are there, take a ride up the coast towards New Buffalo and grab a Burger at Redamak's. You won't be disappointed. Then head east to South Bend and see Notre Dame, or head south and see both Purdue and Indiana University. They are all worth the trip. Let me know what you thought was good and bad while traveling in Indiana.

I just traveled through Indiana and had the opportunity to stop at the RV MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana. The displays were fantastic and my family enjoyed it. It's only minutes off the Indiana Toll Road. It is a must see for RVers!
